Troy Christian started his professional career as a musician, playing woodwinds professionally, as well musical directing, writing, and producing several albums and television theme songs. Troy‘s passion for movement and dance led him to New York, where he studied at the Joffrey School of Ballet, Broadway Dance Center, and Steps, which led to years of performing on stage, television, and in film, and then on to an extensive career in choreography. When Troy began editing video, all of the pieces of his experience came together, and what has followed is a natural progression to creative leader and artist in the form of directing and filmmaking.
In 2004, Troy was hired by Funny Boy Films to choreograph the independent film Adam & Steve (Craig Chester, Parker Posey, Malcolm Gets, Chris Kattan). Craig Chester (writer/director/star) was so impressed and comfortable with Troy’s talent and abilities, he asked Troy to "direct his days," as well as participate in the editing of his scenes. When Funny Boy was signed on to do a full musical (Naked Boys Singing!), Troy, with his diverse and versatile background, was the obvious choice for bringing the movie to fruition.
